I reall think that writing blogs was a great experience because it was a different way of learning English. I thnk my writing skills have improved a lot, especially regarding how to order a text in a logical manner. I still need to improve my spelling and some grammar issues, but I feel more confident with my writing. I think it would be a good idea to include some exercises and discussion with my classmates, before starting to write. I'd like to write about topics related to my personal life as well as academic ones. Some of the topics I found a little boring. Maybe we could replace them with other ones I could choose.

When I was at  university I really enjoyed studying American Literature because it was very interesting. We read a lot of the best authors from 20th century such as Fitzgerald, Hemingway, Thomas Wolfe, Flannery O'Connor and Faulkner. We had to write essays on their books and comment them in class. We had a very good professor who always brought new material to class and helped us out with our work. He was very smart and knew a lot about the subject. We saw the social and historical context of early and mid-century literature, we analyzed the motives and structure of their novels and short stories. I really enjoyed this course.

My sister took this photo on my last vacation in New York City, USA. This photo shows the Big Apple from the roof of Empire State Building, and me with my iPhone capturing the same landscape. This spectacular picture was taken in February 2013, after having been in Las Vegas and Ohio on the same vacation with my family. In that vacation, I was in the United States of America for one month.

New York, has many possible scenarios to photograph, and I believe the Empire State is one of the most beautiful building in the all world.

This picture is one of my favorites and one of the most beautiful picture in my life, due to the experience and the feeling at that moment. It was great!!! I hope you like it and enjoy the picture, because I love it!

My favorite piece of technology is my old record player. I know it sounds out of date, but there's nothing like listening to my vinyl records, which I have bought in several flea markets around Santiago, in true stereo mode. CDs and mp3a really don't cut it. The quality of the sound is far beneath analog. That's why I enjoy listening to music in my house rather than wearing earphones in the street. I'm planning on buying some big speakers soon, but they're a little expensive, so I'm still saving money to get them. Without my record player my life would be so much duller. I would have to listen to music on an Mp3 player which really is terrible for me. I wouldn't be able to listen to any vinyl records at all! Luckily, that's not the case.


My newest record is an original The Who LP I bought online for just ten dollars. I can't wait to put it on!!

Hi, everyone. It's me again and today I'm going to talk about why I chose to study English. When I was a child I lived in England and the United States, so I learned English very early. I also read a lot of books and I wanted to become a writer. When I returned to Chile I also started reading and writing in Spanish. I liked it very much. So when I applied for the university I was thinking of following a degree in languages or education. I thought about studying Spanish or French, but in the end I decided to study English because I felt it was more exciting and fulfilling to work in a foreign language. I also wanted to follow a doctorate in another country, so English was a better choice. Currently I work as an English teacher and I'm quite happy helping people to master a new tongue, which can be quite difficult. I'd like to keep writing and teaching English Literature in the future.
